Learning Centre
Building for the future

We are investing in the redevelopment of the learning facilities at the Maudsley Hospital. The current training centre is no longer fit for purpose. We want to establish a new state-of-the-art facility which will provide a positive learning environment.
The new training centre will provide spaces that can host a range of events and activities to a high standard. The development fits with the longer term plan being developed by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) to improve the Maudsley Hospital campus for patients, staff, the local community and visitors.
Listening to the local community
Throughout the development of this project we have been keen to
keep the local community informed and involved in our plans. From
the outset we were committed to engaging with local residents to
ensure they have the opportunity to give their feedback on the
proposals. The new centre's design is sensitive to the surrounding
area and has landscaping and new trees. The building will be built
to high quality standards to have a long life span.
We hope the centre will provide the best possible learning
environment and support SLaM's mission to translate the
learning from academic research into better patient care.
